Grant Aid
Applications for Grant Aid can be accepted at any time of the year, however they will only be considered at the set quarterly financial meetings and must be completed on official Armagh Sports Forum application forms.
Grant Aid is available for individuals residing in the Armagh City and District Council area who are at Provincial level or above in a sport recognized by the Sports Council for NI, with special consideration given to Road Bowls due to it’s affiliation with Armagh. Applications should be completed on a Best of the Best form.
Best of the Best Applications have the following award levels:
- 25p per mile for travel to competition and training sessions
- £30 per night subsistence at 100% to cover accommodation & meals costs
- 60% of the deficit up to a maximum of £300.00
- An additional 20% will be added to an individuals claim on proof of Section 75 Status (i.e. young / disabled / single parents, etc)
- All recipients of grant aid must complete a monitoring form
- Armagh Sports Forum do not fund equipment or clothing and all grants are retrospective.
- Grant Aid is also available for Clubs based within Armagh City and District Council area; these applications should be completed on a General Grant Aid application form. General Grant Aid applications are calculated at 50% of the deficit.
For clubs organising major events or training/coaching programmes Armagh Sports Forum assist with costs such as facility hire, hospitality and coach payments. Other forms of assistance may include funding towards competition costs such as travel, accommodation and entry fees to major competitions.
