Navan Centre & Fort
The Navan Centre & Fort helps you understand in a fun and interactive way, one of Ireland’s most importance archaeological sites, the legendary Emain Macha [Navan Fort]. The site is steeped in legend and folklore as the ancient seat of the Kings and Queens of Ulster and provides many interesting discoveries for the modern archaeologist.
The Centre offers visitors a unique appreciation of the history of the area through a stimulating exhibition packed full of information, artifacts and hands on activities for all the family. Enjoy the myths and legends of the Ulster Cycle in the vibrant audio visual show. Witness the Celtic Characters bring history to life in the Iron Age/Early Christian period dwelling with demonstrations of cooking, weaving, farming and much more…
Finally, take a guided walk to the Navan Fort and be transported along the path of history.

Education Facilities @ Navan
The award-winning Education Department of Armagh and City District Council offers a variety of school programmes throughout the school year. These programmes take place at our three centres: the Navan Centre & Fort, the Palace Stables and Saint Patrick’s Trian Visitor Complex and cover all levels from Foundation Stage through to G.C.S.E.

Conferencing @ Navan
There is no better place for that business or leisure experience that the historic surroundings of the Navan Fort. The Navan Centre can boast some intimate, comfortable and practical conference facilities set in the amazing surroundings of this, the seat of the High Kings of Ulster.
The Audio Visual Theatre can accommodate up to 125 guests and its stepped auditorium makes it an ideal venue for product launches, presentations and small shows.
The Atrium which is flooded with natural light is the perfect place for receptions, exhibitions and music evenings.
The Restaurant area can easily be transformed to a formal dining area to accommodate 100 people seated at tables ideal for a Wedding or, laid out for an informal Christening or private Birthday party!

The Navan Centre & Fort Restaurant is Armagh's only restaurant proudly brewing Starbucks coffees.
Tempt your tastebuds with morning coffees, lunches, afternoon teas and traybakes all baked on site.
The restaurant can also cater for private functions, and a carry out service is also available. |

Throughout the winter months [October - end March] the Navan Centre has a limited tour offering. Visitors can still enjoy the exhibition space, the audio visual show and the walk to the Fort, however Living History is not available in these months.
