Armagh Photographic Competition & Exhibition 2017

Date: 12th October – 18th November 2017

This long-established photographic competition and exhibition will open to the public on Friday 13th October. Sponsored by Bennetts, the  competition includes a range of different categories including colour, black &white and historic Armagh section.  Winners in each category will receive a £50 voucher 2nd prize winners will received £25 voucher.  There’s also an under 18 category and the winner will receive £50 voucher.  Best overall photograph in the competition will receive the Bennett’s cup.


This year the County Armagh Wildlife Society will also be providing a prize for best Nature/wildlife picture in the Over 18 category (£25 and 2 years free subscription to the Society) and Under 18 category (£10 and 2 years free subscription to the Society).


To be in with a chance of winning entries must reach the Museum no later than Saturday 30th September.

Armagh in Focus – The Scott Collection

Ernest Scott was a local photographer in Armagh who spent his career recording Armagh, and surrounding county. This exhibition offers a glimpse of life in Armagh during 1960s that is sure bring back memories of the city. Drop in and take a peek you may even recognize people in the photographs!


250 years of Methodism in Armagh

Date: 13th April – 1st September 2017

This exhibition tells the story of how Methodism influenced the history of the City of Armagh, an influence that continues today beyond the confines of a single denomination.

Armagh Art Club Summer Exhibition

Armagh Art Club have been exhibiting in the Museum for over 40 years.  Whether you are a first time visitor or on a return trip, this exhibition will be great opportunity to view paintings from the county and further afield.

Halloween Family Fun

Celebrate Harvest at the Museum and discover the myths surrounding Halloween including crafts, trails and competitions which are suitable for primary school-aged children who must be accompanied by an adult.
